This is 960 shaken - not stirred........
You get 960 and, for advanced players only, you get 960 unplugged. Is there anyone else out there who agrees with me ?
I once played a game at my club where the position repeated 3 times and I said it was a draw. He said it was not a draw because it was not the repetition of position but the repetition of moves that made it a draw. The rule book says its a draw if the position repeats. I let him win and now whenever he asks me for a game I tell him I do not want to play with him. I noticed that people are always making up rules. One person I played with I beat because the clock ran out and he said he had actually won because he had mate the next move. This, of course, is not in the rule book. It seems that people are always making up their own rules and in a sense the kid was right when he said chess is just a game and people can make up their own rules if they want. When I play, I always play by the USCF and FIDE rules and if someone does not want to play by those rules, I simply refuse to play with him.
everybody wants to be a comedian!

i have alerted a forum mod to lock this thread and have called the FBI. if you are lucky you may receive a lighter sentence if you turn yourself in now. RIP patzer.
WHY DIDN'T YOU SHOOT HIM???That would be one less disagreer in the world...
I once played a guy who had the weirdest rule ever. He just took my queen off the board, because he claimed that you MUST say 'check' when you check the enemy king or else the piece that gave the check is taken off the board. I asked him who taught him that rule and he replied it was his granddad and he was pretty convinced. Never playing him again, since he could bust out another BS rule.

use your smart phones to end the debate : )
Or, the one who made the Knight move by counting one-two-one, and removed all 3 pieces of the "path" of the Knight from the board!
ok now ?
LOL, the guy was playing 'King gets his own color'
The queen is angry. She's screaming that her dress must match her shoes!

Thanx 4 the link. Only problemo is I play in a chess club that meets at the public library and don't carry my computer with me. There are computers at the library I could use but I would have to wait on line. I had a book of rules in a Kindle but the Kindle has stopped working.
