The "Kings" Tournament in Romania was scheduled to take place in June/July this year, but was postponed due to the "global financial crisis and the unstable political situation in Romania".
Now the official website has confirmed that the delayed double round-robin tournament will go ahead from 7-14 November in Bucharest with the field reduced from 6 to 4 players.
Sadly, the last minute arrangements mean that most of the original players, including last year's champion Magnus Carlsen, are now unavailable.
However, Vassily Ivanchuk and Liviu Dieter Nisipeanu survive from the original line-up, and they will be joined by Fabiano Caruana and Veselin Topalov.
